Shadow Man

As I have mentioned in my previous blog, ‘Saved by the Voice’, I do get frightened by encounters. When I was living with my parents, years ago, after completing my evening routine, I opened the bathroom door and saw a dark silhouette moving from left to right, passing directly in front of me. The figure appeared to be walking, swinging its arms, and even looked in my direction. It seemed that the shadowy figure did not expect me to see it, it turned its head towards me. Although I could not discern any eyes, the figure's head movement indicated acknowledgment of my presence. This marked the beginning of my first episode of sleep paralysis that night.

During that initial episode, it felt as though something was attempting to enter my body, and my mind was consumed by a sensation resembling white noise, accompanied by a whooshing sound. I assumed the whooshing was the result of pressure trying to break through to me, creating an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience that rendered me unable to breathe. This disturbance occurred three to four times each night, severely impacting my sleep and leaving me restless the following day. For six months i had the disturbance of this experience, until my mother then noticed it and vanished it away. Since then I never experienced the sleep paralysis again.
